Birthday Burpday! Chicbacha pasta~!

Hello~!

It's been awhile since I've posted. Yesterday was my birthday. *yeeey?* Well I wasn't that looking forward to my birthdays, it's part of growing up. Although, ever since that time my mom passed away, I can say that this is one of the happiest birthdays I've encountered so far... Well, it's really nice and I had a blast.

I'm looking forward to this year, another year in my life. I may encounter a lot of stuff along the way... and somehow I feel that this year will be pretty busy... and harder for me and my honey bear but... for sure I'll just have to go through with it...

The topic for today is not about that but what I cooked yesterday. It's 2:13 AM in my clock on the 30th of December 2013. So let's start!

If you love pastas then this will be pretty easy for you to do(?) (I think).

+++++++++
Ingredients:
+++++++++
6 gloves of chopped garlic
1 white onion (chopped)
1 cup of Olive oil
1 bottle of spicy olives (sliced it up if its not sliced)
2 bottles of Pasta sauce (about 2 full measuring cups/bottles. Will update this one for the exact measurement)
1/2 kg of Chicken Fillet
1/4 kg of Bacon (chopped)
1/4kg of Ham (chopped in to thin slices) *and thus the name Chicbacha*
3 pinch of Salt
2 pinch of black pepper
2 tbsp of sugar
1 cup of 100% lemon juice.
1 1/2kg of choice pasta (I have fusillini)
=============================================================
1. Put half cup of olive oil. When it's hot and good to go, saute chopped white onions and 3/4 of chopped garlic.
2. When the garlic is quite golden brown, put the chicken fillet mix it and let it sit for awhile.
3. Prepare the ham. Chop the ham in to thin french-fries-like slices. Place it in a bowl. Mix it with 1 cup of lemon juice, 1 pinch of salt and pepper, then add 1 tbsp of sugar and 1/4 of the chopped garlic. Mix it well and let it sit.
4. Once, the chicken is almost cooked, placed in the diced bacon. This is were the fun starts, although you have to be careful as to how much ingredients you put in it. But for me, simply put the rest of your ingredients (black pepper, salt, and sugar and some of that Jamie Oliver's spices). Mix it, then have a taste. Just keep adding little by little if it doesn't meet up to your "taste".
5. As it sits, for another 5 to 10 minutes, add the marinated ham (along with the juice) in to the pan and mix it well. Let all the flavors mix in for another 5 to 10 minutes. Let the juice be absorbed by the meat.
6. Once the juice is almost gone, add the pasta sauce and mix it. Be sure to taste it again, and just add a little more of that "missing ingredient" that meets up with your taste but be sure not to make it salty.
7. Lastly add the spiced olives. Mix it together for 3 to 5 minutes, and it's all good and done. :)

cook up your noodles, mix it up and enjoy!

I hope you learned something from this cook off >.> I'm not quite sure how to put it in values but oh well.... enjoy!

Love,

~M~

Merry Christmas~!

Ahoy Mates!

I just haven't been posting for quite awhile due to certain "stuff" going on, being really quite emotionally and stuff like that, since it's December. I'm having a little bitch-fit and well, the common woes of being in a LDR and an OFW.

It's my second year spending Christmas here in Singapore which you won't feel it's Christmas unless you are in the city. There are no Christmas lights in our area but there are some lights (only red) >.> if you know what I'm saying... so LOL XD

It's my day off today and yesterday and I have been given another off this Sunday which is my birthday... -.- oh man. Lonely as it looks like... well, yeah. Just going to lie down, roll and cry. Q.Q

Just kidding! I've been a quite a Santa Claus yesterday or last night. I've been so generous that I forgot to set my limit -.- boom~! there it goes. Sooo now I think I'll just run through with my own make-up thingies and do some looks inspired by... someone XD

ENJOY YOUR CHRISTMAS WHILE YOU CAN WITH YOUR FAMILY. CAUSE YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHERE LIFE LEADS YOU TO.

EAT MORE. PARTY HARD. DRINK HARD. AND ROCK!

Happy Holidays!

Love,

~M~

M.A.C.'s Nude Matte Lipstick

Hi there~!

It's been nearing Christmas and I haven't updated yet about how I think Nude feels. (Remember that lipstick from Rihanna Collection from M.A.C.? Yes, it's that one. So if ever you are still thinking of buying it, well it won't hurt reading it further right? xD Let's get started!

I have been a fan of nude lipsticks when I was very young, (especially when I saw Utada Hikaru wear it on her Easy Breezy video, but I think it's a gloss now >.>) I always wondered how it would look on me. For the past years I've been doing all these presenting our "clan" in fiestas and stuff, I've always worn these reds. I really can't remember when I wear one nude lip. oh well, back to the review XD

As I've said before it's a little darker on me. It's not that I don't like it or what but actually it's quite good though it does dry your lips after a few hours. It did last on my lip quite long, well, I cheated a little cause I always put on a lip liner underneath my lipstick so it will really last a bit longer than it used to.
It goes well with the smokey eyes or neutral eye looks. I love how dark it is, it gives me that somewhat "evil" look... >.> or... goth-feel which I'm in to.

Is it worth the money? Yes, it does somehow stays on for quite long. It does dry your lip so remember to clear off any dead skin on your lip before applying. But, of course before you buy it, you must try it out first. If you like the dark "nude" lip then go for it.

Price: S$34 in M.A.C.

Thanks for your time~!

The NAKED 3

Hiii guys~!

Today, yesterday rather, was the release of NAKED3 here in Singapore. I know I've said before that I won't be buying NAKED3 (or rather I was torn between buying and not) but yes, I have it. I went there, queued up, got my NAKED3, went to buy some other stuff and that's it. I'm still going to use my M.A.C. Pearlfusion Shadow in Pinkluxe (from my previous post) for our Christmas parteh~! Along with my All Fired Up Retro Matte lipstick. Well let's go back to the topic.

NAKED3, M.A.C'S Cremesheen Lipstick in Shang Hai Spice,
Urban Decay's Lip Liner in NAKED, NAKED SKIN Foundation
in Shade 5.0; and the compact gift from SEPHORA (since it's
my birth month)
What happened? Everything was like all Urban Decay Products and only one M.A.C.? My love for M.A.C. never waivers. I'm still one of the M.A.C.-girl but I also love Urban Decay. Their eyeshadows are great (hands down!) so as the lip liner and eye liner. So yeah, I guess it's all UD this December. (yey?)

Now for the Main Thing. As you may have read, heard or seen before, NAKED 3 contains 12 eyeshadows. All new shades, not a single shade has been carried over from the previous 2 NAKED palettes. Yes they have a rose-gold undertones, and I for me these shades are for the "romantic" looks. I will create some and try to post it if I can. So for now this is the look I came up with. (Please excuse the unkempt brows x.x headaches)

I'm not in to pinks/rosy shades, but this is something I'm starting to like. XD

Products used:
Urban Decay NAKED SKIN in Shade 5.0
Make Up For Ever Face & Body Foundation
Benefit Boe-ing Concealer in Medium Shade
M.A.C. Penultimate Liquid Eyeliner
Make Up For Ever Smokey Extravagant Mascara
Urban Decay Lip pencil in NAKED
M.A.C. Cremesheen Lipstick in Shanghai Spice
M.A.C. Mineralize Blush in Love Thing
Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer
Shades used for the eyes:
STRANGE
BURNOUT
NOONER
LIAR
FACTORY
BLACKHEART

Sooo, would I suggest you to buy it? Well, it's not really bad. I could say that it's better than the previous ones in terms of the choices of shades. If you have the money, why not? But if you're looking for something to start and you don't see yourself wearing these shades (or if you're not in to eyeshadows unlike me) then don't.

Is it worth the money? Yes, definitely if you see yourself wearing it. But before you buy this, be sure to try it out first so you won't be disappointed if ever you'll buy it. I think you could ask someone to give you a make-over before indulging yourself in to these shades (char~)

Anyways, it's my first impression.

Stay tuned for more~!

~M~

Mini Sephora Haul

Hello my Lovelies~

I just had to go back to SEPHORA to grab their promotional palette which is the Makeup Academy Palette since these makeup ideas pops out of nowhere (always before I go to sleep -.- pretty nice). I also had to buy my own lip brush, and the Makeup Forever kit was just additional. But then... This had to happen...

Sorry for the lighting x.x
My thoughts on the kit: First of all, I looove the lipstick. It is really quite pigmented and it goes on smoothly when you apply it. It reminds me of my Kryolan Lipstick which I bought last July when I was back home for a couple of days. I'll be trying it out when I go to work and give you guys an update as to how it last on me. The mascara is ok too. I can't say much because I just tried it out when I'm too lazy to apply make up. XD The eyeliner is ok. It is black but not as black as Perversion pencil.

FLASH!

I'm still trying to figure out what to say about this palette. It does have pretty much everything to complete a look, all you need is a foundation and viola~! you're good to go! or sort of... I tried to use this just to create a look. I don't know if it's because of the color of the light or what, but When I tried to put on some of these eye shadow, it's kinda disappointing because it's not as pigmented as the other palettes I've used. I'm still going to play with this 'enormous' palette and give you an update pretty soon, perhaps this Wednesday? maybe, maybe not. but since NAKED 3 is coming... Well... let's see then :P

That's all for now~

See you again~!

Thanks.

Love,

~M~

SEPHORA/MAC Mini-HAUL~!

Hello there~!

It has been awhile since my last post, been very busy with work and stuff. But now I'm back to bring you some stuff I just bought and might give you some insights on these stuff... swatches will be done very soon (too sleepy and tired to do post some swatches).

December is here, and for the last 3 days of November Sephora had a 20% off to most items in store. I'm referring to SEPHORA ION Orchard. I had a M.A.C. shopping~! and of course some stuff I picked up which I know will be useful.

If you're asking if you need all of these stuff, of course you don't. But since I am away from my love ones, it is depressing to be apart so I just had to release it through... shopping for Make Up. >.> The girly side of me >.<

Enjoy!

(Top left: NYX Center Stage Jumbo Pencils, Top Right: Benefit's Fine One;
Bottom Left: M.A.C.'s Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow Palette; Center: M.A.C's All Fired Up;
Bottom Center: M.A.C.'s Mineralize Blush in Love Thing; Right: M.A.C.'s Studio Finish
Concealer in NW20; Bottom Right: M.A.C's Paint Pot in Dangerous Cuvee)

NYX Center Stage Jumbo Pencils
Got to use this once, I think I used Nude, one time just to test it out with my UD Naked palette. Placed Half-baked all over the lid and poof! It's a good base but you need to make sure everything is well blended so you do not have to worry about having it... accidentally separate your eyeshadows...

Benefit's Fine One(One) Cream Blush/Highlighter/Bronzer(?) in one!
I've been meaning to buy these products for months now and finally I have it! and ever since I got my hands on it... I use it everyday. I really love it and it blends really nicely. It gives you that "you're good to go" look.

M.A.C.'s Mineralize Blush in Love Thing
I haven't use this one yet but like the benefit cream blush, I have been meaning to buy it for months. Being a bit of an addict with dark colors (people usually see me wearing black), I've been looking at a blush that is quite dark so I could use it as a contour. >.> If you know what I mean... lol! I'll be using it on our Christmas Party. Hopefully I get to update you guys XD

M.A.C's Paint pot in Dangerous Cuvee
I used this product once, and with my other M.A.C. Paint Pot in Vintage Selection, I find this very very cool to use. I love the greyish-blue shade it gives off with a little dab of Perversion Eye Pencil, smoking it out and viola! It's a really nice color.

M.A.C'S Pearlfusion Shadow in Pinkluxe
I've been hearing (reading) bad reviews about this one, which I've done after I bought it. (Silly me) The reason why I bought it is it's like having those shades from Naked 3. I was convincing myself not to buy Naked 3 for it has....... "PINKS" in it. I'm not a fan of Pink (color), which contradicts the next product I bought. But I know I'm lying so I might still eat my words and buy NAKED 3 :)) (LOL!) Looking forward in to playing with this one soon.

M.A.C.'s Studio Finish Concealer in NW20
Look, I hate Kim Kardashian. But her make up is quite ok... o.o so I think I'll try it out? nah, I'm still having this Metalhead side of me on the surface which I'm quite proud of. I don't know how to relate these two things together but you know what I mean right? I might go back to pick up an NW25 which is my skin color for a more natural look, but since I am doing some pin-up/vintage look, I'll settle for this one.

M.A.C's Retro Matte Lipstick in All Fired Up
I've been looking for a Pinkish Reddish lipstick and I found this which I've been looking forward to using anytime soon~! I love the color since I'm pretty much in to this "berry" colored lip. >.> Weird... but anyways, will update you for looks for these stuff soon~!

Thanks for your time!

M.A.C. Stroke of Midnight: NUDE (Lip Bag) + Private Party

Ahoy Stranger!

It is I, greeting you a belated happy Halloween and welcome to my page again. I have been quite depressed this day, and so my only way of coping up with my own sadness is by shopping... splurging on what ever it is. and now I'm broke~! (lol)

Sooo I just had my mini haul from Sephora and got some pretty neat stuff with M.A.C.. As some of you may know, I love M.A.C. (in terms of lipsticks) and most of my Lipsticks are M.A.C.. I bought 2 pressed powders (Studio Fix and Select/Pressed Sheer which I usually use because it's NC 25 not NC 35 where I feel it's a little too dark on my skin). And that's pretty much it(?).

Just to show you guys some stuff I bought (pardon the dragged make up, shot these pictures after work so... >.>) and tell you how I feel with these products.

The small bottle is a freebie, I think it's an UD foundation(?)
Just had Stroke of Midnight: Nude (lip bag) and
Private Party (lipstick)

Here is what you'll get in the box

So, the contents are: lip liner pencil in Boldly Bare (<3),
Creme d'Nude Creamsheen lipstick (oh sh*t got 2 of this now x.x)
and Softly Lit lip glass. The other one is Private Party which is
from the Divine Night collection.

So I played around with my new stuff just to tell you how I feel with it. Let's start of with Stroke of Midnight: Nude.

Products used: All the stuff in the Stroke of Midnight: Nude (Lip Bag)

First of all, I looove the lip liner pencil in Boldly Bare. I always use a lip liner pencil before putting any lipstick on (that's how I got it to stay on longer). Since I mostly used Creme d'Nude on top of any other lipstick (e.g. Nude from Rihanna collection), this is quite surprising for I never expect it to be like this. The thing is, it's still caking up my lips which I mostly encounter with my Nude lipsticks (creamsheen lipsticks). I'm not a fan of lip glosses, I only used Sexy MotherPucker by Soap & Glory, but this one, since it's my first Lip Glass from M.A.C., maybe I'll try to give it more time but who knows? Maybe I might change my preferences as I age XD

Private Party~!
Stuff I used... 'nough said

Private Party is one of the lipsticks I've been looking forward to. It has this dark plummy shade which gains its position as my first plum lipstick. Oh wait, that's my second but... oh well... xD. Since I placed this one with a rather cool reddish tone lip pencil in Beet (which I sometimes use under my Russian Red). The mixture is kind of like that stain that can be seen on your lips when you had too much red wine. I love how it looks and feel. (reminds me of Lulu's lips in FFX too x.x)

So there you have it. I'll try to catch up with my promise of Rihanna's Matte Lipstick in Nude pretty soon. I had tried to mix it with a darker one (tried to imitate Aveline's look from assassin's creed), used Mahogany Lip liner under Nude, and it went ok. But I'll try to recreate the look and post it soon. On the other hand, I will also try to upload these things I bought today and tell you how I feel with it. :)

Thanks for reading~!

Love,

~M~

The end is never happy but...

Hi~!

It's been quite awhile since my last post. Sorry for that, I've been pretty busy within these past few days since my family was here. So yeah, just to keep you updated, this is just a random stuff I thought of at every end of your journey.

Last Tuesday, October 29, 2013, I had my little brothers come here to SG for vacation. I was excited to see them that I woke up early the next day to visit Universal Studios Singapore with them.

For the 5-night stay here in our home, I had been really happy. Like all the bad stuff happened to me, or anything that I feel which is quite negative (I've been having this abdominal pains, vertigo and stuff ^^;), I had to just shove it all up... not mind it... Just enjoy the moment. Like I always did when I go back home.

Parting is quite a sweet sorrow. You'll just have to savor every moment. Not be sad on anything because you are going to be sad. Tomorrow, or for a few more hours, I'll have to say "bye and see you again" to my family. And I'm just getting all emo-ed because of this. I don't know what to say, it's like everything was just yesterday. and now...

It's quite depressing... I don't know if I want to see them off... but oh well, let's see...

Anyways,

Thanks for reading!

We'll see each other again soon...

A Visit from M.A.C. Cosmetics shop in Vivo City

Today I had my day off, we went for an adventure in USS (Universal Studios Singapore) with my little brothers and cousins. It was extremely enjoying and tiring day but at the end of the day.... I had to check out M.A.C. since we are in Vivo City. (I actually accidentally saw it... and I was like. I. HAVE. TO. GO.)

So yeah, I went to check it out, and I got quite surprised. Being a M.A.C. lover, I was like 'how come I didn't know what this new stuff is?!' because it's there and I want to get my chubby hands on it.

SO I am planning to hunt over it, tomorrow. And probably get that matte red-pink (Relentlessly Red) lipstick from the Retro Matte collection aside from the new one.

Mweesa signing off yah?~

Thanks!

Frustrations

SOOOOOooooo, I just saw Yaya Han's Vlog for Halloween and she reminded me of how I should get my artist veins in to work.

You know that feeling when you see this certain person that you just wanted to draw her or create a character modeled after her? I get that "feeling" and when I started to sketch it out, my effing hands won't allow me to draw. poofy -.-

I've been like this every now and then, just trying to get myself in shape once I tried to draw again. I still draw, but since my Bamboo pen & touch effed up, I got lazy so I had to rely on my Handy-dandy Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (which will be Note 3 at the end of November).

One of my frustrations is... I suck at copying things. No shit. I do. It's my Waterloo. I prefer basing my works on to certain stuff then from it creating a new one. If it looks shit then I'll just have to do my own thing to make it work.

Seeing other artists, (all hail Siya Oum, All HAIL SERGE BIRAULT!) my frustration for perfection has grew more steady.

Here are some of my unfinished works which I hope I'll get done pretty soon. x.x

Soooo... what do you think? Looking at these... I feel... I dunno... XD

heheheheh

Riri Woo feel~

Hullo!

Sorry for not having to update my blog, I've been pretty busy with stuff since it's almost Christmas ( a lot of people going back home to spend their Christmas with their families XD) So yeah, I did say that I will be posting about how I feel with the whole riri woo lipstick. Annd here it is!

Sadly I took only one pic (One nice pic) x.x I had this picture at the end of my quite tiring day and I used my note 2 to take this one...
Me without even retouching my ririwoo lipstick at the end of the day

Well yeah, I did not retouch my lipstick nor my foundation for this pic, but still you can see how it sticks on me. I LOVE RIRIWOO better than Russian Red. I didn't have Ruby Woo, but I think Riri Woo should be compared with Russian Red. they have cool under tones (for me) and Ruby Woo is a bit warm toned.

The other thing that I love about this lipstick is that, it is quite light on me. I tried applying it once without any lip moisturizer or conditioner or lip balm and yet it gives me good result. It does quite dry up your lips a bit when applying but after that... It's like you don't have any lipstick at all.

I am a bit exaggerated but, well, that's how I really feel about it. It doesn't come off easily even when I eat Filipino foods (Filipino foods are quite oily >.> and they tend to remove my lipstick every time I eat) or any oily foods for that matter.

The thing I don't like is that, when I apply it, it's quite hard. It's like applying chalk on your lips. If you have this product, do you encounter the same thing?

Anyhow, :)) I am quite happy with this. I'll be trying out Nude soon. xD Just trying to find the right eye make up for it. So stay tuned!

Love,

~M~

Catwoman inspi- oh, Gothic look

Yes, I have tried, and yes I have failed. I did my very best though... Q.Q poor me, x.x So anyways, just to be a "man" of my words, I went on with my all black stuff in my make up and put on Ririwoo :))

These are the pics, if you want to know how I manage to do it, just stay tuned. I'll be posting somehow how I arrived with the look. >.>

I used Vice 2 and my Naked 2 palette along with
the perversion pencil. Ririwoo on lips.

It's seemed like black eyeliner pops out my eye color o.o

Just loving this shot x.x

Annnddd That's all folks~!

M.A.C.'s Riri woo and Nude

Stay awhile and listen (read) >.>

Ok so I had my off today which was a typical day off for someone who's working far away from her home (if you don't know where I live as of now, I'm here in Singapore, and I came from Philippines), I went to clean and arrange stuff in my room, do the laundry and stuff... and by the end of the day, I went out to clear my homesickness.

I do get homesickness although I do not think much about it because the more I think about it, the more it'll drive me nuts. The days are coming to that day, and on Friday, 25th of October, I promise you that I will do a Catwoman (Michelle Pfieffer version)  inspired look. 25th of October will always be a special day for me aside from my love ones b-days and our anniversary, since this is the day that taught me that life is short. Life is so short that in a blink of an eye, you'll see everything disappeared right in front of you and you can't do anything about it. All that was left for you to do is to live and continue on living and loving every person who meant the world to you.

So what's got to do with Catwoman? (Although I looked like a bear) My mom loved Michelle Pfieffer, and the time when Batman Begins movie released was the time my mom had me. So yeah, I was named after her with a little tweak in my name. xD

Moving on. I bought two Riri lipsticks from M.A.C.'s Rihanna collection, which are Ririwoo and Nude. They are both in matte which are kinda cool cause I love matte finishes. I'll be spending more time in wearing them soon to give you guys what I think it feels like when I wear it at work tomorrow.

Ririwoo & Nude (right to left)

Top to bottom: Nude, Twig, Ririwoo, and Russian Red

My first impression with the lipsticks. Let's start of with Ririwoo. Ririwoo reminds me of Russian Red a lot. It's like Russian Red with a different name. The formulas are quite close to each other and when I applied it, it's starting to dry out a little (talk about matte lipstick). I love how red it is though.

The next one is, Nude. Nude, as the name says, is a nude lipstick. (I'm not making any sense.) It's a dark nude lipstick which also gives off a matte finish but I quite agree to some, it is a bit like there's a satin finish in it. It doesn't dry out my lips but it is quite scary to apply, since when I applied it it looks like I have mud on my lips. I love how earthy the color is, but then... I still don't know how I really feel about it so far. But when I tried it out, I had to put creme d'nude on the center of my lips on top of Nude to pop it out and it worked just fine!

This is how it looked on me. Excuse the somewhat dragged make-up... x.x

Ririwoo on top of Kiss Me Quick lipliner
Nude on top of Subculture lipliner

Creme d'Nude on top of Nude
(I just noticed how it gave a much fuller lips effect o.o)

And there you have it~!

Thanks for reading~!

Love,

~M~

UD: VICE 2 Look

Greetings stranger!

As promised, I'll be doing a look for my VICE 2 Palette from Urban Decay and here you have it! I didn't get a chance to do a look yesterday since I was raiding with my love XD

Oh well Let's get started!

Here are the things I used:

The colors used are the following:

Step 1: Prime your eyes.
Step 2: Place Betrayal all over the lid.

Step 3: Put Smokeout on the outer corner,
about a third way in up to the crease.

Step 4: Apply Prank on the crease from the
end point where you place smokeout.
Finish the eyes by applying a little of Smokeout on the lower lash line.
Then apply Coax on the inner corner and apply a white eyeliner
on your brow bone (I used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk)
then use your favorite black eyeliner.

curl your lashes! So basically, this is how it should look afterwards ^^

Finish the rest of the look by your normal foundation routine.
Concealer>Foundation>loose>blush>bronzer

Lastly, don't forget the lips.
Since I am a sucker for lipstick (I personally prefer them over lip gloss),
I used M.A.C.'s Giddy

So this is the finish look!

Stay tuned for more~!

Love,

~M~
